More comprehensive instructions can be found on the Kagi Web site. Anyway, I'd like you to read the following notes which are specific to BOOM and its author, Federico Filipponi.
Dear potential user,
if you intend
to pay the Shareware fee for BOOM (thank you!) you can use the Register
BOOM application included in the package.
To launch it, start the game application and click on the Register... button
in the Shareware reminder dialog and then on the Launch Register... button
in the registration dialog (you can also select the Register... command
from the application menu).
Be sure to
properly fill in all the fields in the form.
To avoid possible mistakes or misinterpretations enter your name using the
right capitalization.
For example:
John Smith (correct)
JOHN SMITH, john smith, johnsmith, jsmith (not recommended)
Keep in mind
that your name will be used to generate your personal registration code,
so avoid including company names, titles or other confusing denominations.
If your name contains special characters which are difficult to reproduce or
can be lost when sent through the Internet, please avoid using them if possible.
If you prefer using a nickname, remember to also include your real name in the address field, in case I have to send your registration code by postal mail.
In this case
pay also great attention when entering your postal address.
Use the right capitalization, try to correctly separate the various parts of
the address (street, zip-city, state-county, country) and, most important of
all, don't omit any part of your address. Always specify your country and the
zip code.
Please note that I live in Italy and, despite my experience with international
correspondence, I might not recognize an address if you don't specify the country
(i.e., if you live in the States, always specify USA at the end of your address).
You should
also specify how many Copies/Licences you are paying for or whether you intend
to pay for a Site or a World-Wide license. Enter the number of Copies/Licences
in the first field under the program's name or check the box relative to
the Site or to the World-Wide licence.
Always keep an eye on the amount shown as Subtotal: in the low-right
corner of the window, above the buttons.
If you think that the program you are paying for (BOOM in this case)
deserves an extra reward you can always fill in the Bonus field. Donations
are always welcome ;-)
Finally, you
have to choose your payment method.
Select your preference from the pop-up menu in the Payment Details: box
and eventually provide the required extra information (currency type, Card
number or FV account ID).
Note: if you check the Postcard Receipt: box an extra US$1.50 will be automatically added to your total. This tells Kagi that you want your registration to be acknowledged by postal mail. Use this option only if you cannot provide Kagi with a vaild e-mail address.
When you've
finished filling in the form you can print it (for mail of fax usage) or
save it to a file (for sending it via e-mail).
In both cases please check the form for possible mistakes.
I usually don't read messages included in registration forms. If you have something to tell me please contact me separately using my e-mail address (fedefil@factor-software.com). I reply only to e-mail messages so don't waste your time and money with postal mail or faxes.
Sometimes (well,
often) I receive registrations from users with faulty or bouncy e-mail addresses.
In such cases my policy is to wait for the angry customer to
call in for complaining. There were also cases in which a letter containing
a registration code failed to reach the user for some reason. Should this
happen, there's nothing I can do about it.
So, if you already sent money for BOOM and never received a reply, please
contact me as soon as you can for your registration code. Your registration
has not been lost.
Thank you.
